In 2011, my family and I were privileged to join the Richfield Nazarene family. My wife, Christy, and I have 4 energetic kids-Reya, Kade, Zane, and Cole. I grew up in northwest Ohio mainly in a little town called Fremont. In our Nazarene church in Fremont, God really moved in my life and through the ministry there, and the example of Godly parents, I was called into ministry around the age of 16. With a call to full time ministry, I studied theological studies at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University ('02) and then moved out to Nazarene Theological Seminary ('10) to pursue a masters degree. It was in Kansas City where I met Christy and we began our family. After returning from a deployment overseas with the Army National Guard, we decided to put school on hold and pursue full time ministry. A few months later, we moved to Ephrata Church of the Nazarene where we served from 2006-2011.
The verses that I return to most personally and for sharing with youth is definitely Romans 12"1-2, Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will." These verses mean so much to us as a Christ's followers because our whole life belongs to him and we grow in Him when we completely belong to Him. And, that is the message of holiness and a life-long pursuit which I am committed to following and being used to invite others to!
