What Is Faith Promise?

What is Faith promise here at Richfield? It is our Love Gift to God, given beyond our tithes and offerings. Our regular tithes and offerings are mainly used to support our Pastors and their families, to maintain our facilities, and provide programs that touch you and your neighbors as well as to provide Christian education for our whole congregation. The purpose of Faith promise is to provide funds for missionaries and evangelism. Faith promise is a God-inspired, Bible-based plan of financing world evangelism. It is also a personal demonstration of faith and trust which motivates a personal commitment to give as God provides.  Faith promise is not a pledge or a tithe, or a substitute for other giving.

We pray asking the Lord what we should give and then follow His leading to support missions as an out reach here at Richfield.  Richfielders are a generous people who have given abundantly this year to missions. God has blessed us with so much so that we would have the means to help others.

Faith Promise is an on-going commitment here at our church, and you can join the many families who already are a part of this evangelism out reach. Pray, seek God’s direction, and then respond.

2 Corinthians 8:3-5 says,”For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave of themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping God’s will.

Just as the Early Church gave support for Missionary Paul, so we here at Richfield follow their example in supporting our missionaries today.

Remember: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?”

t’s our responsibility and privilege as God’s people to support Missions. Let each of us pray and seek the Lord’s will about our part in this ministry.
