STIX Ministry
We've started a totally cool Sticks ministry that shows our love for Jesus called "Fish Stix"! Sticks is an interpretive routine that uses dowel rods (sticks) in choreography to interpret lyrics to contemporary Christian music!
Why "Fish Stix?!" Well, have you ever seen the fish symbol that's found on bumper stickers? Do you know what it stands for? The "Fish" is the Christian symbol for baptism. It seems crazy that fish swim in deep water, but they NEVER drown; as a matter of fact, they absolutely MUST be fully immersed in water in order to survive!
Believe it or not, WE'RE kind of like those fish - in order for US to survive SPIRITUALLY, we need to be baptized by immersion into the waters of Christ's love - the love He showed us by dying on the cross!
That's how WE want to be - fully living our lives for Jesus, and we're showing our love for Him in a very unique way - with "FISH STIX"!
Hey, Kids, if you're in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th Grade, "catch" us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday's from 6:00 to 7:00pm! "FISH STIX" is on a whole new "scale" of ministry - and we're not telling any "tails"!
